$4 Million Mega Millions Prize Claimed By New Windsor-Based LLC
A $4 million Mega Millions prize from a ticket sold in Orange County has officially been claimed.
Blue Pegasus Holdings Limited Liability Company (LLC) of New Windsor claimed the second prize from the June 9 drawing, the New York Lottery announced on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
The winning ticket matched the first five numbers drawn: 09, 30, 36, 38, and 40, missing only the Mega Ball, which was 03.
Although the standard Mega Millions second prize is $1 million, the ticket came with a randomly generated 4X Multiplier, quadrupling the prize to $4 million, according to the Lottery.

A popular Long Island weekend festival has been moved to October due to an impending storm.
The Greenport Maritime Festival will now take place Friday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 18, organizers announced Monday, Sept. 21.
Previously, the festival had been set for this upcoming weekend — Friday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 27 — but the plans were changed due to an impending nor’easter expected to bring rain, wind, and miserable conditions to the region.

After 18 years of serving breakfast, lunch, and coffee in Dutchess County, a longtime cafe is preparing to say goodbye as the owners begin their next chapters.
The Beacon Falls Cafe at 472 Main St. in Beacon is closing, owners Bob and Linda Nevelus announced on Monday, Sept. 22, saying they have decided to retire. The announcement did not give a final day of business.

A two-bedroom Bergen County home sold for $111,000 over asking after just nine days on the market, setting a new record for the borough, according to the listing agent.
The renovated ranch at 14 Morrow Rd., in Midland Park, was listed for $799,000 on July 8 by listing agents Max Stokes, Luxury Real Estate Advisor with Keller Williams, and Jason Pierce of NJ Proper, Sotheby’s International Realty, Stokes said. JD Power released its 2026 North America Airport Satisfaction Study on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The study was based on 24,710 surveys from US and Canadian residents who traveled through at least one airport in either country.
