Major Delays Reported Along Route 80
Major delays were being reported along Route 80 in Warren County, NJ Saturday morning, Aug. 19. It wasn't immediately clear what was causing the 25-minute delays (at least) through Hardwick Township near the Delaware Water Gap. Photos captured by the DOT camera showed traffic piled up along the westbound side of the highway at NJ-94, at 10:55 a.m. Motorists were encouraged to find another route — or settle into bumper-to-bumper jams.

Water Main Break Floods Route 4 Exit In Paramus
A water main break in Paramus on Thursday flooded part of Route 4 and closed a busy exit ramp. Construction crews working near the exit ramp for Paramus Road off the westbound highway accidentally punctured the 16-inch main shortly before noon Aug. 17. A jackknifed tractor-trailer slowed traffic along Route 80 in Morris County Wednesday morning, Aug. 16. The crash occurred at 3:45 a.m. on the eastbound side of the highway in Montville, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. The driver lost control, ran off the roadway to the left, and struck a guardrail. UPDATE: Northbound Route 17 in Mahwah as reopened around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday following a wild tractor-trailer crash earlier in the day. A dump truck carrying dirt overturned and shut down Route 202 in Hunterdon County Monday afternoon, July 31, authorities said. The truck overturned on the southbound side near River Road in Raritan Township around 12:30 p.m., the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad said. Driver Hospitalized In Route 287 Wreck
A driver survived a nasty overnight crash on Route 287, authorities said. Firefighters extricated the motorist, who complained of pains in both legs after his Mazda SUV ran off the road and struck a sign and a tree on the highway's southbound side near mile marker #60 in Franklin Lakes at 1:47 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said. The driver was hospitalized with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, the sergeant said.

Deadly Tractor-Trailer Crash Shuts Part Of I-78 In PA
A 22-year-old Virginia man was killed in a tractor-trailer crash on a Pennsylvania highway over the weekend, authorities said. Evan Dennison, of Berryville, was driving a vehicle that struck the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 78 in Weisenberg Township, on Sunday, July 23, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. Dennison was pronounced dead at the scene, at 2:53 p.m. All westbound lanes were closed for several hours. Pennsylvania State Police were investigating.

A deadly crash involving a tractor-trailer closed parts of I-78 Sunday, July 23 in Lehigh County. The crash occurred on the westbound side near mile maker 47.6 in Upper Macungie Township around 1:30 p.m., according to the PennDOT website.
